My dear friend Kim is having a baby girl in a month or so and its my tradition to make handmade gifts/artwork for the nursery. Her colors are browns, pinks, and greens. Using my folded paper flowers that I make (tutorial found here) I created a "garden tryptic", gluing a bunch of my handmade flowers on three painted canvases, and using thin quilling paper as the stems. I LOVE how they turned out!
very nice :)
ReplyDeletefabulous! I am an assistant librarian looking for a craft project using old books and magazines for our winter reading program, this would be perfect
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely amazing Laura. Hope you don't mind if I use your tutorial in notes to be included with a scrapbooking kit. Would love to use the folded paper flowers on a layout. I will give you all the credit though. www.doinglife.co.za
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of Teabag Folding - but for circles instead of squares.
ReplyDeleteWow! Amazing Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThese look so fun. My mind is whirling already with how to use them! Thanks for the inspiration! Are those painted canvas boards or did you cover with fabric? Hard to tell from the photos.
