Being stuck inside during the "Blizzard of 2011" as it's affectionatley known, it was a great source of comfort and warmth to have a fire going.

There's something so wonderful about a roaring fire, isn't there? So here are some pretty photos I found of fireplaces and beautifully decorated mantles. But to warn you, they arent your mothers fireplaces and mantles, I need to add a little color and funkiness to your lives. So I hope you are inspired by these NON traditional mantles.
